What do I need to start using Ualett Global Transfer?

Accepted Identification Documents

Customers must provide a valid, unexpired U.S. government-issued photo ID and complete a live selfie verification.

The following U.S.-issued document types are accepted:

  • Driver’s license
  • State-issued ID card
  • U.S. passport
  • U.S. work permit

All identification documents must be issued in the United States and must be valid and unexpired to be accepted for identity verification.

Live Selfie Requirement

In addition to a government-issued ID, customers must complete a live selfie check as part of the identity verification process.

The selfie verification helps confirm the customer's identity and supports compliance requirements.

Verification Best Practices

Poor image quality is one of the most common reasons verification attempts fail.

Employees may recommend the following best practices:

  • Place the ID on a dark, non-reflective surface.
  • Ensure all four corners of the document are visible.
  • Avoid glare, shadows, and backlighting.
  • Use a mobile phone camera whenever possible.
  • During the selfie check:
    • Look directly at the camera.
    • Use adequate lighting.
    • Remove hats, sunglasses, or anything covering the face.

Following these recommendations can help reduce verification delays and resubmissions.

Expired Identification Documents

Expired identification documents are not accepted.

If a customer's identification document has expired, they must provide a valid, unexpired document before identity verification can be completed.

Social Security Number (SSN) and ITIN Requirements

Depending on the customer's account, additional information may be requested during the verification process.

Customers may be asked to provide:

  • Social Security Number (SSN), or
  • Individual Taxpayer Identification Number (ITIN)

This information is collected securely through the verification partner and is required for regulatory compliance purposes.
